Week 50

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I have a ton of pictures from this week, so I'll get right to the point! The week was fantastic! Josh was off work all week, Me and Grandpa came to visit for Thanksgiving and OU beat OSU! We spent the first part of the week getting ready for MeMe and Grandpa's arrival and even got a art project in. They were here for 3 days and we went to Keemaha, Galveston, on a wild adventure boat ride and some how got a Turkey dinner stuffed in! Mason had a blast eating the dinner and hanging out with MeMe and Grandpa. He really liked "talking" with MeMe. I wish I would have got it on video! It was too funny! He's a little parrot!Ok, picture time! Watching Dad clean the backyard

Week 49

Mason is walking all over the place these days. Its still just a few steps at a time and he still hasn't figured out how to stand up on his own, but he's getting braver when it comes to taking off and exploring on his own. He'll pull up using the couch or table and off he goes. We went out in the yard to play several times this week. He just pushes his toy up and down the drive way and will hold my hand and walk up and down the sidewalk. Its so funny how just changing environments keeps him so entertained! He just looks all around, taking it all in. He loves to pick up the acorns, but will always give them to me when I ask for them. He also throws little fits when he doesn't get his way. I got the funniest picture of him crying (he still gets boo boo lip) when I told him no. The Dr said it hurts his feelings when he's told no or doesn't get his way, but that we still have to do it. Poor kid! I think he gets that from his Dad! His hair is starting to get long in the back, but he still has nothing on top (it didn't help that they had to shave a little bit off the top when they took his bandages off). It looks like a mini mullet! Its even starting to get a few little curls in the back. His first hair cut should be coming very soon, but I think we should get it 50% off since he'll only need to back done!

week 48

Ready or not...here I come! Mason took his first real steps this week! I really didn't think that he would try to walk for awhile, but here sure took off. Once he figured out he could do it, he started doing it all the time. We went from nothing, to walking down the hallway in like one day! He still doesn't know how to stand up on his own (without pulling up on something) but once he's up....he takes off. Don't get me wrong, it's still just small distance walking and really more like he's just taking steps, but its something! He's has a runny nose and cough for about a week or so, so I took him to the Dr. on Thursday. She said everything looked good and he had a mild case of RSV and to just watch it and make sure his symptoms don't get worse. There is some yucky junk going around right now, so I'm glad that it wasn't anything too bad. We had a low key weekend, watching movies and football and he seems to feel much better now. Not that he ever acted sick, nothing slows that kid down! I can't believe that Mason is 11 months old today! Its his last "month" birthday until the big One!!! Crazy how time flies! Mason was counter surfing (where he reaches up with his hands above his head to touch the counters and see what he can pull down to play with). I tried to catch him in the act, but just missed it!
This is his "what? I didn't do it!" face

He still loves climbing in his toy basket

Watch out! Here I come!

Hmmm....now what do I want to get into?

We bought a play yard to protect the Christmas tree (yes we are already planning for Christmas!) so I tried to put Mason in it. He thought that was fun for about 10 minutes until he figured out he couldn't get out on his own!

Reaching for my phone, something he knows he's not allowed to have

Trying to look cute when he knows I see him!
