Week 11

This week the weather finally started to feel a little like fall....well at least it got out of the 90's! We even had to wear long sleeves and Tyler got a chance to wear her new boots. We took advantage of the nice weather by going to the park and playing outside as much as possible. On Saturday we went to the Fall Festival at Mason's school and had a mini camp out at our house that night. Mason had a blast jumping in the bounce house and sliding on the inflatables at the festival. He also liked the train and playing the booth games that they had set up. For the "camp out" Josh and Brian set up a tent in the backyard and Carter and Mason had a blast hanging outside and playing in the tent. We grilled out and let the boys play. The mosquito's are horrible right now (I'm talking millions!) so they boys came inside and we made s'mores and watched football. Mason thought that the tent was really cool, but I honestly think he liked the flashlight and s'mores the best!

week 9

Big week this week! Not only did Tyler turn two months old, we went to Oklahoma for the first time. First Tyler had her two month check up. The doctor said she looked great. She weighed 9.14 lbs and was 22 1/4 long, so she's in the 25% in both height and weight. She also received her two months shots, she still cried, but did much better this time as far as being a diva. It was OU/Tx weekend so we went home. Ironically we took Mason home for the first time at 9 weeks too. Tyler did great on her first airplane ride and of coarse Mason loved every minute of it. He was so excited to see everyone. Its all he talked about all week. OU had a great game and we loved seeing everyone...all 21 of them! It was so nice to see everyone and made leaving really hard. I can't wait until Christmas when we can say for awhile.

Week 8

It was a very sad week. Chewy passed away and it broke all of our hearts. Chewy was for sure our first baby and I really miss her. When she passed I instantly started crying and it was so sweet, Mason came up to me and put his arm (yes I know that sounds crazy...but he really did) around me and said "its ok mama, don't be sad". Obviously he had no idea why I was sad (right after he said "daddy will be home soon") but it was still really sweet. I really really miss her. On a brighter note, Tyler really started smiling this week. Its super cute and she makes little coo noises and then looks around like "whoa, who made that noise!?" On Saturday we went to the farmers market, had some coffee and breakfast and did a little outdoor shopping. It was nice to be able to hang out outside (it was a little cooler), but I'm so ready for fall!
