Week 17

What a busy week! We are in full out Christmas and Birthday mode and on top of all that Josh and I went to New Orleans for a short weekend getaway and work trip. I've been busy all week shopping and getting ready for Christmas and Mason's birthday. I've pretty much got most of my shopping done, but still need to pick up some stuff. I've spent several days out all day running errands while Masons been at school. Im so proud of Tyler, she's my shopping buddy and such a trooper about it! I was even able to schedule a dr appointment in some how. While in the Dr office waiting room (we waited for almost an hour!) I realized that Tyler has officially become a baby. She was all about standing up in my lap, playing with my necklace and pulling my earrings. Its like over night she went from a newborn or infant to full blown baby, smiling and cooing just loving any and all attention and playing. Since I've been dragging her around so much, we've been trying extra hard to play a lot at night and we've even started rolling some. She can roll front to back and back to side, but hasn't figured out that she can flip all the way over. This weekend Josh had to go to New Orleans for a work Christmas party and I got to go with him! Nana came and stayed with Mason (she even brought him a bike for his birthday!) and Tyler for the night and we spent all day Friday and most of Saturday in NOLA. It was so nice to get out of town and I loved every minute. I can't wait to go back, I swear New Orleans is like its own little country. I spend all day just eating and window shopping. So much fun!

Week 16

Happy Turkey Day! We had a great week traveling home and enjoying great meals with all of our family. We were able to spend a few days with MeMe in Bartlesville and then a few nights with Nana in Hominy. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins from both sides were able to come and Mason had a blast playing with everyone, while Tyler enjoyed meeting new faces. It was a short trip but the best part is we get to go back in 3 weeks! We came home on Saturday so it was nice to have an extra day to get back into the routine. We even got home in time to put lights up around the house. Mason is so proud of his lights and keeps asking me "who put the lights on, Oh! Me and Daddy did!"

Week 15

Christmas is here! Ok well not really, but it is at our house. We decided that since we would be gone for Thanksgiving and then home for just a short while before going back to Oklahoma we should go ahead and put the Christmas stuff up so we can at least enjoy them for a little bit longer. Mason loved helping out and decorating the trees. He was so proud of his tree in the playroom and we even made a few decorations to put on it. Tyler thinks the lights are interesting to look at. She's been super snugly and lovie lately so I've just enjoyed holding her and letting her sleep. I know I'm probably going to create a horrible habit, but I also know that she won't be little forever so its worth the risk!

Week 14

The weather has been fantastic this week! The mosquitos are finally going away and we've been able to get outside and play. We went to the park several times this week and we had Mason's 3rd Birthday party this weekend. We couldn't get the party place during the month of December and this weekend worked the best this month, its a little early, but that just means we get to celebrate longer. The birthday party was so much fun and of coarse Mason was a wild child the whole time! At least its safe to say that he had a good time and thats what is really important. He's really into playing pretend and dress up these days. I bought him a pair of fireman rain boots and I swear he has not taken them off. We've worn them to the park, to the store, to school, his birthday party, we even slept in them the first night or two. He loves them and calls them his cowboys boots. He is one crazy kid thats for sure. If you would have told me three years ago that I would let him wear the outfits that he wears sometimes, I would have said no way. But I've definitely learned to pick my battles and the boots are not worth it to me.

I might need to reiterate the pick my battles part!
