Week 3

Big week this week! Mason went back to school and I went back to work! It was hard leaving both the kids, but it was nice to get everything back to normal. We had meet the teacher on Tuesday and he went to school on Thursday. He cried when I left (nothing new) but the teacher told me when I picked him that he had a good day and didn't cry that long after I left. I felt horrible leaving him in a room full of crying kids so it made me feel better that he ended up having a good day. He said that he wanted to go back on Tuesday, so we will see how that goes. Josh turned 30 this weekend! We had a joint birthday party with a margarita machine and fajitas to help celebrate. It was nice to have a kid free night and just hang out with our friends. Surprisingly Tyler and Mason slept through the whole thing! Happy Birthday Josh! We love you!

Week 2

Well we are officially on our own and its not too terribly bad. Josh went back to work full time so Mason and I have been adjusting to our new schedule. Mason has been really good about playing around the house and just hanging out while we adjust to it all. Tyler went back to the Dr for her two week check up and now weighs 7.5 lbs. Its hard to believe that Mason was bigger then that when he came out! Ha Ha. While at the Dr Mason and I got our flu shots. Mason was very brave, until the nurse came in with the shot and then he panicked. We also made it to our first birthday party this week and the grocery store. Big week, I know! ha ha! However, its amazing how much longer it takes to get two kids out the door and to the store, especially when we live on a three hour schedule. Its a work in progress, but we'll figure it out! We moved Tyler into her own room this week too. She is doing a great job sleeping and is only waking up once a night for feedings around 2 a.m. I have to admit, so far we've been really lucky in he sleep department, lets just hope it continues!

Week 1

Well we survived week one and I'm happy to report it wasn't all that bad. We brought Tyler home on Friday afternoon, Nana had to leave Saturday morning and MeMe left Monday afternoon. It sure was helpful having them around all week and they are greatly missed now! Mason had a great time playing with them and Josh and I enjoyed a little bit of down time. Tyler went to her first Doctors appointment and is back to her birth weight and had an overall healthy check up. She is eating and sleeping like a champ and so far Mason is adjusting well. I think all of the extra attention from MeMe and Nana has helped, so we will have to see in the weeks to come. Lots of pictures this week!

Tyler's Nursery

Ok here are some pictures of Tyler's room. Since I turned our spare bedroom into the playroom and refuse to give it up, we decided to keep a queen bed in her room so that when people come to stay (please come stay with us!) we will have an extra bed for them to sleep in. Then when she gets older, we will just move her into the big bed and take the crib down. I also painted an old armoire TV stand that we had and turned it into an extra storage unit for clothes and blankets. I didn't want anything super fancy, more shabby chic and simple and that's pretty much what we ended up. Nothing fancy, but I think its cute.

And of coarse Mason wanted to be in at least one picture
