Tyler's Nursery
Ok here are some pictures of Tyler's room. Since I turned our spare bedroom into the playroom and refuse to give it up, we decided to keep a queen bed in her room so that when people come to stay (please come stay with us!) we will have an extra bed for them to sleep in. Then when she gets older, we will just move her into the big bed and take the crib down. I also painted an old armoire TV stand that we had and turned it into an extra storage unit for clothes and blankets. I didn't want anything super fancy, more shabby chic and simple and that's pretty much what we ended up. Nothing fancy, but I think its cute.
I'M Baaack!
Oh my gosh I can't believe that its been over a year and a half since I've blogged! I'm not even going to try and recap whats been going but here's the main breakdown...Mason's getting really BIG and we're about three weeks out from having a baby girl named Tyler. I can't believe that I'm actually going to try and make time to start this back up again! I'm not going to lie...its not 100% by choice! ha ha! But I figure since Mason has a book of every week his first year, its only fair that Tyler has one too. I'm sure this is just one of MANY things that I will have to repeat for the second child that I'm not overly excited about! BUT I do love Mason's book, so I know that it will be worth it in the end! I've added a few summer photos to kick us off. Summer has flown by, We've kept ourselves busy by getting ready for Tyler's arrival, going to the beach, swimming and playing in dirt. We've even managed to make a trip back to Oklahoma, had visitors for the 4th of July and celebrate our 6th anniversary. Ok now the important part...pictures.

March and Spring Break
I've got about 1000 pictures from the last two weeks, so here goes. To start....Mason walks into the living room the other day holding a bag of candy....yup you guessed it...he found the candy drawer. I wonder if that means I get into that drawer too much?? Anyways, he now knows how to open the drawer and fish around inside and pull out the good stuff. I caught him in action, so now we've put child locks on all the drawers. That's Mom's candy....stay out! ha ha! The weather has started to get really nice, so we've been hanging out a lot outside these days. Mason loves it., he runs around and explores everywhere he goes. From sticks to grass to bugs, we have to touch it all. Last week Cody and Savannah came to Houston for Spring Break and they were so nice they even let Mason and me hang out with them during the day! Mason had a blast getting all of their attention and we enjoyed having them here. The Houston Rodeo is in town (its just like the state fair in Oklahoma, but with more concerts) and Josh and I got to go twice. The first time we went to see Rascal Flats and the second time Brooks and Dunn. Both concerts were fantastic and the rodeo part was so fun to watch. Mason had a sitter both times and did very well with both of them. I think its the first time that we've had a non-family member put him down for bed. I was little nervous, but he didn't seem to care....or I just have really nice babysitters that like to lie to me! Ha ha! We did take Mason to see the livestock show and he liked seeing all the animals. It will be really fun when he can see an animal and know exactly what it is and what noise it makes. Last but not least, every time we go to someones house they seem to have a play kitchen and Mason loves it. Now that we've locked him out of our real kitchen, MeMe and Grandpa decided that he needed his own and man does he love that thing! MeMe calls it his Tuesday present and I call it a miracle because it keeps Mason's attention for more than 15 minutes at a time! We also got his Easter pictures taken, more of those to follow, but I put an sneak peak of the outfit in.
See ya later Mason!
They're baaaaack!!!! Attack of the bunny ears! He just looks so cute in them...I don't care what Josh says!
Thinking about touching the pig....he did end up petting a baby cow....I think he thought it was Dakota....they were the same size after all.

February
Happy Valentines Day! Ok, ok I'm a little late for that! I really don't like this once a month format. By the end of the month I have way too many pictures and I can't remember all the crazy things that Mason did. I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to set it up from now on, but I promise it will be better and updated more often. Ok, so for February, here's what happened. It was cold, so Mason spent a lot of time inside driving me crazy! Mason learned that Mom keeps lots of fun things in drawers, so he pulled those all out about 100 times a day. He also figured out that if you can't reach something, you can always move your toys around and use them to help get you higher up so you can reach it. Nana and Papa came down for the super bowl party and we had so much fun hanging out with them. I enrolled Mason for a twice a week "school" program for the fall. I've officially gone over to the dark side. I was actually one of those crazy women out in front of the stupid school at 5 am to make sure that he got one of eight spots for next year. It was incredibly ridiculous, but by 5:30 am there were about 35 people in line all doing the same thing. Let the crazy mom stuff begin. Josh and I had a very low key Valentines Day, we went to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe and just had a little family time. Mason thought that all of the moving animals were cool and liked looking at all the lights. He's really into pulling things lately and loves to pull his wagon around. He'll put his toy dog in it and just walk around the house pulling things. Its so funny. Other time he actually sits in the wagon and wants to be pulled. So that means I get the pleasure of bending over and pulling the mini toy wagon around and around the house. This usually ends with me taking Mason out of the wagon and Mason crying. Once he fell out of the wagon while playing in it and gave himself a black eye. Poor kid! I'm so ready for the weather to get warm so we can get out and play outside. My house as been under attack long enough! Ha ha! ok on to the 1000 of pictures
Playing in the tent with Ben and Luke ...I'm pretty sure Mason's giving me the "not now mom, we're busy!" attitude
I took Mason on our regular walk and it was actually pretty nice out so I walked over to the park....I might have forgotten that he still had his pj's on when we got there, but after he saw it, there was no turning back.
