February

Happy Valentines Day! Ok, ok I'm a little late for that! I really don't like this once a month format. By the end of the month I have way too many pictures and I can't remember all the crazy things that Mason did. I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to set it up from now on, but I promise it will be better and updated more often. Ok, so for February, here's what happened. It was cold, so Mason spent a lot of time inside driving me crazy! Mason learned that Mom keeps lots of fun things in drawers, so he pulled those all out about 100 times a day. He also figured out that if you can't reach something, you can always move your toys around and use them to help get you higher up so you can reach it. Nana and Papa came down for the super bowl party and we had so much fun hanging out with them. I enrolled Mason for a twice a week "school" program for the fall. I've officially gone over to the dark side. I was actually one of those crazy women out in front of the stupid school at 5 am to make sure that he got one of eight spots for next year. It was incredibly ridiculous, but by 5:30 am there were about 35 people in line all doing the same thing. Let the crazy mom stuff begin. Josh and I had a very low key Valentines Day, we went to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe and just had a little family time. Mason thought that all of the moving animals were cool and liked looking at all the lights. He's really into pulling things lately and loves to pull his wagon around. He'll put his toy dog in it and just walk around the house pulling things. Its so funny. Other time he actually sits in the wagon and wants to be pulled. So that means I get the pleasure of bending over and pulling the mini toy wagon around and around the house. This usually ends with me taking Mason out of the wagon and Mason crying. Once he fell out of the wagon while playing in it and gave himself a black eye. Poor kid! I'm so ready for the weather to get warm so we can get out and play outside. My house as been under attack long enough! Ha ha! ok on to the 1000 of pictures

This is how I found him sleeping the other day

I took Mason on our regular walk and it was actually pretty nice out so I walked over to the park....I might have forgotten that he still had his pj's on when we got there, but after he saw it, there was no turning back.
He's not my child....he was really into the salad and that's so not me!
more play time
getting books

he wouldn't let go of the beer boxes....maybe he is my child!

January 2009

Happy New Years!!!

We spent New Years Eves at my parents house, hanging out, playing games, watching OU win and well drinking champagne, lots of champagne! At midnight we went and woke Mason up (we're good parents like that!) and watched the count down and celebrated. I have to admit we aren't as crazy as we used to be, but it still a lot of fun! Too be honest, it was about as much fun as I could handle. We even had a midnight breakfast to ring in the New Year! Hope everyone ate their black eyed peas and has a GREAT 2010! As for the rest of January, we made it back to Houston excited to be out of the snow and yet its still cold! Its been a very cold and wet month here which is unusual for Houston. Now I know I cant complain too much cause its much colder other places, but still! I am so ready for Spring! We did have about a week of really nice days and were able to go outside and play at the park. We would take the wagon to the park (he loves that thing!) and climb on the jungle gyms. Hopefully it will be nice again soon and I can get some pictures outside, but until then inside we will stay! Mason has gotten very good at walking and now likes to run ( ok, its more like a really fast waddle). His favorite game is the chase game. He waits until you are looking at him and takes of running, stopping just to make sure you are coming after him. He usually runs into his tent and waits for you to come get him and tickle him. He loves being tickled. He has also learned how to climb on the couch and how to move his toys around so he can climb on them to reach higher places. Not real thrilled about either of those two accomplishments! He finally figured how to climb on and ride on his riding toys and how to push himself. He babbles all the time and is very serious about it. It sounds like what he is telling me is very important. Guess I'll find out someday. Oh and he's really into screaming again. I think he does it just to hear his voice get loud and watch me cringe. Gotta love that! Thats really about it as far as new things that he does. I'll try to get a video or two put up soon and I promise I'll be better about updating!

Happy 2010

We turned one of our guest bedrooms into a playroom and I LOVE IT! Its the best thing that we've done! Oh and Mason like it too! Finally a room all for him!

First hair cut

Mason got his first haircut while we were at home. We decided to get rid of the mullet (poor Mason still doesn't have much hair on top, but he was rocking it in the back!). Josh needed to get his haircut too, so Dad sat in one chair and Mason in the other. As usual, Mason cried the whole time. She did a good job (not that she could really mess it up) and he looks like a little boy now. Next time I will try and take him to a kids place and see what he thinks about that.

Mason's bed head
Talk about party in the back!
Look at the little curl by his ear....but nothing on top!

When the cape came on....so did the tears
He thought sitting in the chair was cool
And they continued
When he got off the chair, he ran from it! Ha ha
So much better
No more party
Looking good Mason!

Christmas 2009

Well I made it one whole year with blogging about every week! Now my goal is to blog at least once a month and when anything big happens. I know, I know, I'm already behind on that too, but I promise I'll be good about it from here on out. Here are the photos from Christmas. After being home for two weeks and having 10 inches of snow and Mason getting sick (I think it was a combo of his front tooth coming in and lots of shots)....its taken me a month to recover! ha ha. We had a great time with our families and can't wait to come home again. Mason was fun to watch at Christmas, he thought that taking things out of the packages was the best part. I cant wait until next year when he understands a little bit more. We got have a family birthday party with both sides of the family and got to spend lots of time inside watching the pretty snow. The snow put a damper on some of our plans, but it was nice to spend the extra time with family. Oh and I have to tell you that Josh got me the best Christmas present. He had the entire first year of my blog turned into a book, so now I will always have it! I was so surprised and love it so much!
